    Fashionable Father’s Day

Fashionable Father’s Day is a day to celebrate for all the stylish Dads. The holiday is always on the third Sunday of June and is a day to honor your Dad, Father-in-law, Granddads, and Step Dads.

So, many people thank their Father on this holiday by planning a day to spend doing an activity, spending quality time together or having a family get together. Also, most children gift their Dad with Father’s Day cards.  Neckties are another  popular gift for this holiday.   Usually for Fathers Day, I would buy my Dad a fun shirt for the holiday or something sports related.  My Dad loves all sports and his love of the Red Sox had me hooked on Baseball from the time I was six years old.  My love of baseball is attributed to my Dad.  Now that my Dad lives in  Florida I don’t get to see him on this holiday.  Even though he isn’t living in the same state, I always phone my Dad on this day and take him out to lunch when he visits during the Summer months.

Some things will always be in style. Fashionable Father’s Day is a day that brings me back to my youth.  My Family always dressed up in fun fashion attire and went out to lunch to celebrate the holiday.  My Family always enjoyed this day to do, not only do something special as a family, but also to show appreciation of my Dad.

A Daughter may outgrow a Dad’s lap, but never outgrows their love.  My Dad is someone I’ve shared a lot of my dreams and goals in my Business.

Fathers Day is a day to celebrate the Dad’s in our lives. Take this Sunday to honor our dads. What will you be doing on this day to celebrate Fashion and Dads.

    Happy Fashionable Father’s Day!

  • Rainy Day Monday!

    Rainy Day Monday!

Rainy Day Monday is a day like any other.  Because of the rain outside, there is something calming and soothing for me.  One of my favorite things to do in the rain is take a walk in a park or a beach.  Rainy days and Monday reminds me of a song I heard growing up by The Carpenters – “Rainy Days and Mondays“.

Rain is always welcome.  Since I love the sound of a pitter patter of water, I will be embracing the day.  I love to hear the sound of tires and children playing in puddles.

Woke up this morning to the sound of the pitter-patter of rain and the soothing sound of wind.  Moreover, there is nothing like the sound of rain on a hot humid Summer Day.  The rain cools the temperature.

Due to nature gifting us with rain this Monday, it sounds beautiful.   In addition – with rain, I tend to forget my worries and love the sound and sweet smell of rain.   There is something really magical about rain.  I remember being in Hawaii in my 20’s with and after a downpour I saw the most beautiful colorful rainbow from my balcony of the Hotel I was vacationing with my Sister Edie.

    Rainy Day Monday

Since the weather isn’t being cooperative today, some of the things I will be doing on this Rainy Day Monday are:

    1. Cooking and Baking
    2. Cleaning my House
    3. Nap
    4. Wearing cozy and comfortable clothes
    5. Catch up on reading magazines and reading a book on my Kindle
    6. Snuggle with my Husband

After a good rain fall everything always looks brighter.  I love the smell of the grass and flowers and the looking up in the sky I’m always in search of a rainbow.

Rainy Day and Monday always brings a smile to my face and today is no exception.  Share with me how you will be spending the day in the rain.  Look forward to seeing your comments on the rain.

  • Lightweight Spring Sweaters

    Lightweight Spring Sweaters

This Spring, lightweight sweaters are the perfect addition to your wardrobe for the season.  Warmer weather meets lighter fabrics.  In the warmer weather, we all tend to wear less clothing.  Layers are a great option for the season.

In the first place, I usually decide what I’m going to wear in the morning. But some days I have that favorite sweater that I cannot resist putting on regular.  For this Spring and Summer, there will be a lot of choices.  Moreover, I love the contrasting stitch hoodies, lightweight wraps and striped V-necks being featured.

Of course, everyone loves a sweater for colder temperatures in the Fall and Winter. But Spring and Summer, many of us tend to steer clear of knitwear. And for this Spring and Summer season, many lightweight styles are being featured on the runways and fashion magazines.

These lightweight spring sweaters featured below are from Relais Knitware.  Relais Knitware is a wonderful sweater and knit company that produces 80% of their merchandise in a small factory in New York.  This Spring, the sweaters are bright and neutral colors with contrast stitching in lightweight cottons sure to keep you cool on those warm days and keep you warm on cooler spring days.   Many of Relais Knitware sweaters for the Spring and Summer are linen’s, cotton’s and crochet styles.  Having a sweater to drape over your shoulder on a cooler night or to wear indoors with the air conditioner on, will not only keep you cozy but also stylish.

Continue to visit my blog regularly as I continue to update you on future designs from this talented Designer, Susan Melizan.  Susan continues to bring quality knitwear season after season and produces the majority of her product is USA made.
